Short Network Notes| Differences between LAN, MAN, and WAN

In these days I think that I need a simple networking review and I would like to share small notes from this quick review.

In order to send data around computers like tablet, phone, printer we use computer network.
I will look at them according to size.

1. LAN = Local Area Network

Two or more computer is connected via cable or wireless in the same building like house, school, hospital etc. E.g. In a house all computers use the printer with wireless.
LAN is faster than MAN and WAN

2. MAN = Metropolitan area network

MAN covers area larger than LAN and smaller than WAN like a city. MAN connects these computers with fiber optical cable and WiFi
E.g. Sending patient student's information from a hospital to his university in the same city.

3. WAN = Wide Area Network

WAN covers area bigger than MAN like a state and it is also more than 30 miles. Computers are connected each other by telephone systems, fiber optical cable and satellite.
The biggest WAN is the Internet

I would like to mention about a website which I found while I was searching a mobile program in order to memorize new English words.  However, this website isn't only for teaching new language but also there are a lot of categories like Arts & Literature, Maths & Science,  History & Geography, Entertainment

I found Matlab course in Math & Science course. I think this website will help me to improve myself a lot.

For now, I use this website only for memorizing new English words and it really help me. I especially use it on my phone with IOS application.
The teaching mechanism is really good. If I refer to my course it has 101 English word and they are separated by two list. Program gives 5 words from the first list and at first show them with their meaning. After that it asks tests and typing questions until it is sure that you known these words.

While I was in high school, memorizing was very difficult staff for me. But know, I hope this program will help me to have better vocabulary.
